One of ARC's earliest projects, commissioned by GTZ in partnership with the Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (FRCS) in the South Caucasus. The project involved a comprehensive local conflict mapping exercise and Peace and Conflict Impact Assessment (PCIA) across Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, with a particular focus on minority communities in border areas and returnee/IDP dynamics.

This project directly preceded and informed ARC's subsequent VW Foundation research programmes in the Caucasus.
