Analytical study on the relationship between the drug economy and armed conflict in Afghanistan, commissioned by GTZ. The project drew on ARC's field research experience and involved an extensive literature and data review, district-level profiles, livelihoods analysis and a synthesis of key conflict-drug nexus dynamics. Multiple draft iterations were produced (January 2006) with expert commentary. Supporting materials included training resources and follow-up publications on the drug-conflict theme.
