Expert support commissioned by GTZ for the Interim Afghanistan National Development Strategy (I-ANDS) process in Kabul. Tasks included co-authoring the strategy summaries for the Justice and Rule of Law pillar and the cross-cutting themes of Anti-Corruption and Counter-Narcotics, preparing a proposal for German technical assistance to the ANDS, and developing recommendations for BMZ regarding the German contribution to the full ANDS process. Field mission to Kabul undertaken November–December 2005. Results: I-ANDS strategy summaries (Justice/Rule of Law; Anti-Corruption; Counter-Narcotics); German TA proposal for ANDS; BMZ recommendations for Afghanistan PRSP engagement.
