ARC served as subcontractor to the AMBERO/IP Consult ARGE implementing the GIZ-funded "Friedensfonds" (Peace Fund) programme in Timor-Leste. The programme aimed to enable youth to handle conflicts non-violently. ARC contributed to Module 2 ("Peace Building/Crisis Prevention"), providing backstopping for the development of interactive, participant-centred training materials appropriate for a population with low literacy levels and interrupted educational biographies.

Tasks included:

• Backstopping in two development phases for training materials (Module 2)
• Reviewing and editing materials in track-changes mode
• Post-conflict coaching of trainees (Spring 2015 – mid-2016)
• Written final backstopping report

Results: Didactic training materials Module 2; backstopping report; curriculum contribution for non-violent conflict management in post-conflict Timor-Leste.
